Anti-Corruption Operation Targets Eskişehir's Tepebaşı Municipality

In a wide-ranging corruption operation centered in Eskişehir, a total of 25 suspects — including municipal officials from Tepebaşı Municipality — were taken into custody. Within the scope of an investigation led by the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspects were referred to court and brought before a judge. The court remanded 15 of the 25 suspects in custody, while the remaining 10 were released.

Tepebaşı Municipality is a local government unit covering one of Eskişehir's central districts and serving a large population. The fact that the operation encompasses officials within the municipality has lent the investigation particular public prominence.
