EU Commissioners' electric cars need charging stops on Strasbourg runs

Electric vehicles provided to European Commission members under a 2022 green-fleet initiative are forcing commissioners to make charging pit stops during their regular trips to Strasbourg, POLITICO Europe reported.

The cars, introduced as part of a sustainability push two years ago, lack the range to complete the Brussels–Strasbourg journey without recharging, according to POLITICO Europe. The situation has tested commissioners' patience, the outlet said.
