Forest fire in Fethiye: Teams responding from air and ground

A forest fire broke out in a wooded area in Fethiye, a district of Muğla. Firefighting and forest fire suppression teams dispatched to the region are responding from both ground and air to bring the flames under control.

According to officials' statements, all necessary resources have been mobilized to ensure immediate response to the fire. In the operation where aircraft and ground teams are working in coordination, intensive efforts are being made to prevent the fire from spreading.

The cause of the fire and the exact area affected have not yet become clear, and an investigation is ongoing. Muğla province, located on Turkey's Aegean coast, stands out among sensitive regions vulnerable to forest fires due to the high temperatures and dry air conditions observed during the summer months. Indeed, with the increased risk of forest fires during the summer season across southwestern Turkey in recent years, authorities have raised their alert level.

Developments regarding the fire are being closely monitored.
