Not the money they lost, but the lives they built: Victims affected by the Tera fund scandal approached İYİ Party Group Deputy Chair Turhan Çömez and presented their situations with documentation.

The first victim, who identified himself as a financial advisor, said he invested his 90-year-old father's 12 million lira savings into the fund, and his daughter who was supposed to study abroad can no longer go. The second victim, Oğuzhan, transferred 2.4 million lira inherited from his mother to the fund and had planned to use it to buy a house: "I accepted market risk, not qualified fraud risk."

The most striking testimony came from Hasan Işıkoğlu, who works in the security sector. Işıkoğlu, who invested his family's entire savings in pieces, totaling 13 million lira, stated he was forced to postpone wedding and vehicle plans. The bride's family does not yet know about the loss. Işıkoğlu, whose salary is 30,000 lira, said he is also struggling with an additional 2.5 million lira credit debt. Şengül Aktaş said she left 1 million 113 thousand lira in the fund, representing 30 years of hard work, and saw this savings as a safety net while raising her 17-year-old daughter alone.

The legal aspect of the scandal remains unclear: The identities of the fund managers have still not been shared with the public, and the regulatory draft expected to be discussed by the Grand National Assembly's Planning and Budget Commission today is considered insufficient by the opposition.
