Campaign on Culture and Heritage Awareness at Galata Tower

Within the scope of a project to be implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), a special light show was organized at Galata Tower, the symbol of Istanbul. The event was held with the aim of protecting cultural heritage and raising public awareness in this field.

Galata Tower ranks among Turkey's most important cultural heritage sites due to its centuries-old history and prominent place in Istanbul's skyline. UNODC stands out among organizations fighting at the international level against the illegal trafficking and destruction of cultural heritage. Within this framework, the partnership conducted with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism aims to raise awareness against these threats and strengthen protection mechanisms.

The light show is assessed as having a symbolic opening nature in terms of introducing the project to the public and reaching wide audiences. Officials emphasized that cooperation between the two institutions will continue in the coming period.
