İSKİ denies water bill claims

Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) has stated that recent claims circulating on social media suggesting that water bills are higher than electricity bills do not reflect reality.

In its official statement, the administration presented comparisons based on standard water consumption of 10 cubic meters, asserting that the allegations in question are baseless.

While bill increases may occur due to leaks and infrastructure problems in problematic water lines, water service pricing generally remains lower than electricity tariffs.
