Meteorology Issues Heavy Rainfall Warning for Muğla, Antalya, İzmir, and Aydın

Based on information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the Interior Ministry issued a heavy rainfall warning for four provinces.

In the districts of Ula, Ortaca, Marmaris, Dalaman, and Köyceğiz in Muğla, locally heavy thunderstorms are expected; precipitation is forecast to become very heavy and severe in places from evening hours onward. Heavy rainfall is also predicted in the districts of Muratpaşa, Aksu, and Serik in Antalya. It was noted that in the western sections of İzmir, thunderstorms are expected to occur locally heavily and very heavily from midday onward, and in western Aydın from evening hours.

The Ministry urged citizens to be cautious against the risks of flooding, water inundation, landslides, disruptions to transportation, lightning, localized hail, strong winds, and tornadoes, and to heed warnings from competent authorities.
