Mohamed Salah, who left Liverpool, completed his medical checks and arrived in Trabzon; the burgundy-and-blue club will hold the signing ceremony today.
The transfer echoed widely in the world media, and Liverpool's former player Jamie Carragher responded harshly on the Football Ramble podcast: 'Turkey is, in my view, too low a level for Salah. I was confident he would go to Milan or Juventus; perhaps salary was an issue. Like Ronaldo's figures, those numbers are very important to him, but in my opinion he could have played at a more prestigious club,' he said.
Salah had scored over 200 goals in the Premier League since 2017 at Liverpool and won the Golden Boot award twice. Trabzonspor will have made the most high-profile transfer in the club's Super Lig history. Sözcü Gazetesi reported the news.
