After journalist Saymaz announced that Yarız had fled abroad by boat, Yarız applied to the Chief Prosecutor's Office — and now disputes Saymaz's account of their phone call.

Muhammet Yarız, Chairman of the Board of Pusula Portfolio Management, applied to the Bodrum Chief Prosecutor's Office to give a statement. In a social media post, Yarız claimed that after journalist İsmail Saymaz published allegations that he had fled abroad by boat from Marmaris the previous day, he personally called Saymaz to inform him he would go to the prosecutor's office — and that Saymaz's subsequent post made no mention of this.
Saymaz, in a counter-statement, provided a different account: Yarız called him at 20:35, said he was in Antalya at the time, and abruptly cut off the call. According to Saymaz, Yarız said "my father is calling" and hung up; Saymaz then requested live location sharing but received no response.
At the heart of this episode — which has drawn close attention from the business community — is the strategic share transfer process underway between Pusula Group and Tera Group. A disclosure filed with KAP (the Public Disclosure Platform) around the same period also revealed that two members resigned from the board of KatılımEvim Tasarruf Finansman AŞ, a Pusula subsidiary, with Emre Tezmen subsequently appointed as chairman in their place.
Whether Yarız actually appeared before the Chief Prosecutor's Office has not yet been independently verified, given the conflicting accounts from both sides.
Pusula Portfolio Chairman Yarız applied to Bodrum Public Prosecutor's Office following allegations that journalist Saymaz fled abroad; however, both sides have made conflicting statements about the content of their phone conversation. The incident occurs in the middle of the strategic share transfer process between Pusula and Tera Group.
An administrative situation involving the board chairman of a significant financial institution such as Pusula Portfolio directly concerns investors in and business partners of the group. The ongoing share transfer agreement with Tera Group faces the risk of disruption in this environment of conflict.
