Six people's phones to be examined in Rojin Kabaiş investigation
A narrowcast cell tower report conducted by Van Public Prosecutor's Office identified the six people closest to 21-year-old Kabaiş on the evening she disappeared, narrowing the investigation.
A cell tower report has identified suspects: The Van Public Prosecutor's Office, investigating the suspicious death of Rojin Kabaiş, a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, used a narrowcast cell tower report to identify six people who were in closest proximity to the 21-year-old Kabaiş on 27 September 2024, the day she disappeared. These individuals will be questioned and their phones will be examined.
Kabaiş's lifeless body was found on the shore of Lake Van on 15 October 2024, eighteen days after her disappearance. The cause of death remains unclear.
Case attorney Abdurrahman Karabulut announced the report's findings, prepared at the prosecutor's request, through his social media account. Karabulut also stated that the investigation continues into the drivers of a vehicle that went down to the shore during the hours of Kabaiş's disappearance and eleven white vehicles identified in Bardakçı village.
In the initial investigation file, some of the vehicles whose license plates were determined had already been traced to their drivers; the new report has moved the investigation to a person-by-person phase.
