Russia launches major daylight drone assault across Ukraine

Russia conducted one of its longest daylight drone attacks across Ukraine on Wednesday, killing at least six people and wounding dozens, according to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The assault marks a tactical shift for Moscow, which has typically carried out night bombardments. The widespread strike targeted multiple locations across the country, including western regions.

The escalation comes as Russia continues its offensive operations more than two years into the full-scale invasion. Ukrainian air defenses were mobilized to counter the attack.
