The UK military will replace AS90 self-propelled guns that were donated to Ukraine with German-built RCH 155 howitzers. The procurement reshuffle reflects ongoing efforts to modernize British artillery systems while maintaining support commitments. The AS90s had been part of Western military assistance to Ukraine. The transition to German-manufactured equipment represents a shift in UK defense procurement sourcing and platform standardization within allied forces supporting Ukraine.
