Ukrainian forces struck the Kamensky missile-production chemical enterprise in Russia's Rostov region and destroyed two high-value air-defence systems with a combined estimated value of approximately $70 million, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday, 1 November.

Zelensky said on Telegram that a Pantsir-S2 surface-to-air missile complex and a command-and-staff vehicle of the S-400 Triumf system were neutralised in the same operation, characterising the strikes as Kyiv's sovereign "long-range sanctions" against Russia's defence-industrial base.

Zelensky stated that "The Kamensky plant was hit," describing it as an enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex involved in the production of missiles. He extended official commendations to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and partner branches of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

The Kamensky facility, located roughly 20 kilometres east of the Ukrainian border in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, specialises in solid rocket propellants and supplies propellant motors for multiple-launch rocket systems including 220mm Uragan, 300mm Smerch and modernised 300mm Tornado-S systems, as well as propellants for tactical guided missiles and aircraft-delivered weapons.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that overnight into Sunday, 1 November, a coordinated strike using drones and Ukrainian Navy Neptune coastal cruise missiles in a land-attack role ignited a warehouse storing finished solid rocket propellant and damaged four production workshops across the facility.

Concurrently, Ukrainian precision units hit four Russian military logistics depots in occupied territory: near Khartsyzk and Dokuchaievsk in Donetsk region, Novovasylivka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Novoaidar in Luhansk region. Overnight into Sunday, strike drones also hit the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery and the adjacent Novogorkovskaya combined heat and power plant in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.
