Maintenance technicians trained for domestic helicopter GÖKBEY

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that training for maintenance technicians for Turkey's domestic and national general-purpose helicopter GÖKBEY has formally begun.

According to the Minister's announcement, this training represents a critical phase in GÖKBEY's integration into the operational process. The training of maintenance technicians is regarded as one of the mandatory prerequisites for an aircraft platform to be brought into actual service.

GÖKBEY, developed within Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), is characterized as a general-purpose helicopter designed using domestic capabilities. The helicopter is known to be configured for use in both civilian and military purposes.

Minister Uraloğlu's announcement indicates that steps being taken to strengthen the technical infrastructure of the GÖKBEY program are continuing. The completion of maintenance technician training is important in terms of accelerating the process of adding the helicopter to the fleet.
