Bishkek Hosts XV Session of TurkPA: Parliamentarians from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey Already in Capital

Bishkek hosts a meeting and XV plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA) on October 19 and 20. Delegations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, headed by the leaders of national parliaments, have already arrived in Kyrgyzstan. Representatives of observer countries are also expected at the meetings.

On October 19, two thematic forums open — the Forum of Women Parliamentarians and the Forum of Young Parliamentarians. Their agenda includes support for youth initiatives, gender policy, and women's empowerment in the Commonwealth countries.

On October 20, the main event takes place: a meeting of the Council of Heads of Parliaments and the XV plenary session of TurkPA. The Head of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev will conduct a series of bilateral meetings with foreign colleagues to discuss joint economic, cultural, and legislative projects.
