Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Ukrainian side has not made any proposals for a military prisoner exchange. This is reported by the Ukrainian publication Ukrainska Pravda.

According to the Russian leader, Kyiv is not taking initiative in this direction, despite the fact that the question of returning prisoners remains one of the most acute and painful issues in the context of the ongoing armed conflict between the two countries.

Prisoner exchanges have traditionally been one of the key humanitarian tracks in negotiation processes of this kind. Throughout the war, both sides have repeatedly accused each other of prolonging and breaking agreements on the return of captured military personnel and civilians.

Ukraine, for its part, has repeatedly stated its readiness for exchanges under an "all-for-all" formula, but negotiations on this matter have consistently reached a deadlock. Putin's statement came against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities and the absence of visible progress in peace negotiations.
