US threatens Kyiv and Europe with halt to weapons supplies and intelligence sharing
Washington demanded an end to strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, threatening to freeze the PURL mechanism and intelligence exchange.

The US administration has threatened to block weapons supplies to Ukraine and halt intelligence sharing with Kyiv over strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, according to TASS citing Financial Times.
According to the outlet, on October 10 and 11, American officials made a series of phone calls to European capitals and Kyiv. During negotiations, Washington threatened to "cut off intelligence sharing and the PURL mechanism — Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List — for purchasing US weapons for Ukraine." One official who received such a call was quoted by the publication: "They're calling Kyiv... they're calling everyone in Europe."
Among those contacted by American officials, Financial Times names Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of President Zelensky's office. The White House declined to confirm or comment on these calls.
On October 11, US President Donald Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to refrain from strikes on energy facilities.
