The number of people who used tourist services in Kyrgyzstan reached 5.3 million in 2025 — 45.2% more than a year earlier. These figures are cited by the analytical platform Finprom, citing the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The organized tourism sector welcomed approximately 3.7 million visitors. Of these, 2.9 million were Kyrgyz citizens and 770,000 were foreign guests. The number of foreign tourists using organized services grew by 30.5%, or approximately 180,000 people compared to 2024. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia became the leading source countries for inbound tourism.

The gross output of the tourism sector totaled 136.8 billion soms (1.56 billion U.S. dollars) — 26.8% more than the previous year. Tourism services exports approached 1.1 billion dollars, adding 8.1% year-on-year. Retail trade turnover related to tourism grew by 41.6% — to 74.6 billion soms (853.1 million dollars).

Tourism's contribution to the country's GDP increased from 3.2% in 2021 to 3.8% in 2025. The government aims to raise this indicator to 7% by 2030.

Foreign investments in tourism facility construction reached 87.8 million dollars — a maximum in recent years. Investors from the Netherlands invested 63.9 million dollars of this amount. Among major projects, Finprom names the sports and hotel complex Ramada by Wyndham Issyk-Kul.

Prices for tourist services increased by 7.6% over the year, meaning the sector's expansion was accompanied by both increased activity and rising service costs.
