Lassa fever in Nigeria: 190 deaths since the start of the year

Nigerian health authorities announced an increase in deaths from Lassa fever to 190 cases since the beginning of the current year. This hemorrhagic fever is transmitted from animals to humans and poses a general health risk in affected areas.
