Washington Holds Talks with Qatar on Iran File

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Wittekoff met with Qatar's Prime Minister in the American city of Miami today, according to Israeli media outlets, notably the Times of Israel. The talks centered on dialogue pathways related to the Iran file amid the Trump administration's efforts to reshape its policy toward Tehran.

Qatar historically plays an active mediating role in complex regional dialogues, having previously facilitated multiple negotiations between various parties in the region, making it a pivotal partner in any diplomatic process involving the Iran file.

No official statements have yet been issued by either the American or Qatari sides regarding the details of what was discussed during the meeting. However, observers view the holding of this high-level meeting as a clear indicator of renewed diplomatic momentum that Washington is seeking on a highly sensitive file.
