In a separate call with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in regional escalation, stressing the need to continue Egyptian-Omani coordination with the concerned parties.

What the statement did not disclose: The Egyptian Foreign Ministry did not specify the content of the call relating to Somalia, and did not reveal any direct Iranian or American positions in the context of this round of diplomatic activity.
