Gas leak in hotel pool in Bodrum's Gümüşlük: 15 people hospitalized

A gas leak occurred around 21:30 yesterday evening at a hotel operating in Bodrum's Gümüşlük neighborhood during pool maintenance. Fifteen people around the pool who reported symptoms of nausea and dizziness were transferred to nearby hospitals by health teams that arrived at the scene. According to information, all individuals receiving treatment are in good general health condition. The type and quantity of gas causing the leak have not yet been determined. Bodrum Gendarmerie Command is conducting the investigation into the incident. Cases of chlorine-related gas leaks in hotel pools in Turkey are recorded every summer season; last year, a similar incident in Antalya led to a brief evacuation affecting vacationers. Before the investigation concludes, the Gendarmerie has not disclosed whether any administrative measures were taken regarding the hotel's operations.
