Gülistan Karadağ case in Diyarbakır Bağlar: Court detains two suspects in death discovered on land

Witnesses discovered the lifeless body of 31-year-old Gülistan Karadağ lying on land near Yeşildallı neighborhood in the rural area of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır and reported it to gendarmes and medical teams. Medical personnel who arrived at the scene in the morning determined that Karadağ had died. Approximately 100 meters from the body, a parked vehicle drew attention. Following autopsy procedures, Karadağ was buried at Akpınar Cemetery in Bismil district. During the investigation, 28-year-old L.A., who was taken into custody, and 29-year-old A.E., the owner of the vehicle, told gendarmes during questioning that they arrived at the scene together, used narcotics, and claimed they were unaware of how Karadağ died because of this. Both suspects presented to the prosecutor were ordered detained by the court and remanded to prison. The investigation being conducted by Diyarbakır Republic's Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor is ongoing.
