Mayor of Merkez Afendi Municipality in Denizli Detained Along With Four Others in Ongoing Investigation

Turkish judicial authorities have issued orders to detain five individuals connected to Merkez Afendi Municipality in the city of Denizli, southwestern Turkey, as part of a sweeping investigation being conducted by the public prosecutor against the municipal institution. Leading the detainees is municipality mayor Şeniz Doğan and her spouse, along with three other individuals whose identities have not yet been disclosed according to sources.
